Mercedes-Benz
Vietnam (MBV) is a company within the Daimler Group – a world’s leading
provider of automotive products and services. MBV is a Joint-Venture
Company between Daimler AG (70%) and Saigon Automobile Mechanical Corporation
(30%).
In 1995, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam laid the first stone to build up the

To fulfil customers’ sentiment, MBV has continually invested in new
production lines for latest models of Mercedes-Benz worldwide. Just
recently, MBV has introduced two hot models which have just been launched
in the world to Vietnam market – the GLK 4MATIC and the new E-Class.
In June 2009, the debut of the new GLK 4MATIC sparked a huge interest
of car enthusiasts in Vietnam. It is a special model, suitable both
in the city lifestyle environment and in the mountain. GLK 4MATIC is
an exclusive blend of a VIP sedan and a versatile SUV, at the same time
opening up a new vehicle segment in Vietnam.
Only three months later, the company has continued to rouse the world
of cars in Vietnam by the USD 3.3-million investment for E-Class sedan
in September 2009. The new E-Class is an intelligent car for leaders

compared to the same January – September period of last year. Especially,

years with an average contribution of more than 500 billion VND yearly

Truong
Hai was founded in Bien Hoa II Industrial Zone, Bien Hoa city, Dong
Nai province in 2007. Formerly it was a repair workshop of an engineer
named Tran Ba Duong, currently Chairman of the Board and CEO of Truong
Hai Auto Joint Stock Corporation. In 2001, in response to the policy
of the government of encouraging Vietnamese enterprises to produce cars
in the country, Truong Hai invested and constructed a factory specializing
in assembling Kia light truck at Bien Hoa II industrial Zone with an
output of 5000 units/year. In 2004, the company continued putting an
assembly and manufacture plant in operation at Chu Lai opening industrial
zone. Some of its major products contained Kia light truck, dump truck
and bus.
In 2007, Truong Hai made a turning point when carrying out new events
such as transforming into a joint stock company (06/04/2007) and signing
a strategic contract with Kia Corporation of Korea (04/04/2007). In
06/2007, the company continued to build a production and assembly plant
of passenger cars which was also located at Chu Lai complex. Here, first
generations of passenger cars were launched such as Kia Morning, Kia
New Carens ...and Truong Hai has become the first company producing
and assembling all kinds of line-ups of trucks, buses and passenger
cars. After 2-year strategic cooperation, in 04/2009, Thaco Kia held
